Our shopping region has just opened to the public! We’re looking for small businesses to begin filling our giant city filled with skyscrapers rising out of the treetops. The city of Belvetica is a tall, dense, downtown shopping district where business traffic creates commerce. Our towering city is built by over 168 shopping destinations bringing in a steady flow of exploring avatars. Real traffic frees your business from relying solely on traffic stats and pricey classified wars. We strive to maintain Second Life’s -real- traffic without laggy events, too!

We have over 160 individual shops from the tree tops to the clouds so feel free to fly, walk and explore!

To maximize your shopping experience, each building includes a teleport pad on every floor. Click the glowing arrow to browse every floor on that building. Right-click to teleport! Floors with skywalk access are labeled as “(Skywalk Access)”
Business Owners:
Bring your goods to Belvetica! Don’t rely on keyword searching and classifieds alone… Belvetica is the place of exploring shoppers. Get discovered by being a part of the traffic from 167 neighboring businesses!
Renting here is very simple. Every building is staffed by a full-time Commerce Manager who will attend to your every need. Please feel free to contact them with all of your questions. They are here to serve your company.
After finding the building which matches your company’s unique image find the object displaying the price in hover text. Paying that object (usually a floor or sign object) will start your monthly rental. Contact your designated Commerce Manager for group access in order to begin placing your objects.
Becoming a shop owner:
1. Find a space and pay the rental object.
2. IM your building’s manager
Our city’s managers are dedicated to supporting your business. Never hesitate to IM them for anything at any time.

Allot can happen in a month! This city is deeeense with skyscrapers reaching the clouds. (Literally, we had to shorten a few of them!)
The city is very much on track to a grand opening during the first week in February. We look forward to filling the city with shops. Check back soon for dates and times of the grand opening celebration!
With 168 stores (each one searchable in Places, too!) You’ll be able to shop for days before hitting the same store twice.

Our multi-tallanted Estate Manager, Aslyn Dufaux has created one of those special little places in Second Life. You know the type… A little hidden corner of the grid that brings a smile to your face and reminds you of the magic of Second Life. Her little spot is the Winter Wonderland of the bel Niche.
She’s invited all of our residents here in the bel estate to bring their friends and family to enjoy ice skating, snowball throwing, dancing on the frozen pond and a cozy chat in the cabin. The BLIZZARD of a snowfall needs special mention as well. I mean it’s SNOWING like a Northern Michigan storm out there… All of these festivities can be found here at around 700m up in the air 
Stop by to stay for a while or just pop in to see the amazing snow! You can play around with the sun a bit, too. Sunset and midnight look the best. You can force Sunset and most importnatly midnight by going to: World>Environment Settings to choose your time of day. Try it today!

our latest public project, Belvetica city is whirring along at an impressive tempo. Our first skyscraper has been erected and is now in it’s final inspection and teleport configuration. Our first ten retail spots are a mere week from opening in the city’s first region: bel Tempo.
We’ve also INCREASED the prize money for our building competition! In an effort to stay competitive in the realm of semi-professional architecture, we are now offering L$12,000 per building chosen to stand in Belvetica.

We here at Belvedere are proud to introduce our next public project in Second Life:
Belvetica.
Almost two years ago, Lefty Belvedere created a small group of friends and architects called the Belvedere Metropolitan Initiative. The group’s goal was the creation of a dynamic, flexible, high-density commerce region. You can call it a city.
Two years is a very long time in the lifetime of Second Life and it has been perfectly unfeasible to create an effective, stable, bustling city until very recently. Funds and technologies have simultaneously become available and so we now break ground.
The city of Belvetica is going to be a dense, urban shopping experience that is unique to Second Life. For two years we have been drawing up plans that will take us beyond the typical “snow globe feel” of a Second Life city. We have written a formula which breaks free from the typical miniature-city style limitations. Second Life has dozens of failed metropolis projects in the past but Belvetica will be unique to the avatar’s needs and efficient for the user’s viewer.
Belvetica’s first region, “bel Tempo” will set the pace of a new bustling center for commerce with fourteen (14) skyscrapers and 168 unique retail spaces. Zoning will be finished by December 7th and building construction will follow.
Belvetica is being built by a smattering of Second Life’s finest architects because we have opened a contest for builders. If you are interested in having your own skyscraper viewed by hundreds of thousands of people then click here for official metrics, rules and guides. This competition is geared towards small, fun projects that can be accomplished in 70 unique prims or less which gives plenty of chances for each architect to submit multiple entries.
